How this site handles your data when you use our barcode tools — what stays in your browser, what we collect, and what we deliberately do not collect.
The short version
This summary is for convenience only and is not a substitute for the full policy below.
Your pasted values and uploaded CSV/Excel files are processed in your browser to create barcodes. They are not uploaded to our server for that purpose.
Barcode values, SKUs, GTINs, product names, prices, file names and spreadsheet contents are never sent to our analytics or logs.
We record that an action happened — a file was uploaded, an export ran — without recording the data involved.
You can request access, correction or deletion of any personal data we hold, and object to certain processing.
This Privacy Policy explains how Bulk Barcode Generator (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use bulkbarcodegenerator.dev and the barcode tools available on it (the “Service”).
If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at info@bulkbarcodegenerator.dev.
This is the part most people care about, so we will be specific.
When you paste barcode values or upload a CSV or Excel file, that data is parsed and rendered into barcode images in your browser. It is not uploaded to our server in order to create the barcodes, and we do not store your spreadsheets.
Browser-side processing means your barcode data is not transmitted to us for generation. It is not a guarantee about the security of your own device, browser extensions, or network. We do not claim the Service is “100% secure” or “100% private” — no online service can honestly make that claim.
If the Service ever introduces a feature that does require sending your data to a server, that feature will say so clearly at the point of use, and this policy will be updated before it ships.
We only receive what you actively send us — for example, if you email us for support, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
When you visit the Service, our hosting and analytics providers may automatically record standard technical information:
We record that certain actions happen so we can understand which features are useful and where the tools break. Examples of events we record:
These events record the action and its outcome — never the underlying data.
We deliberately exclude the following from our analytics and application logs:
The tools are built so that barcode values and spreadsheet contents are not passed to analytics in the first place. If you spot behaviour that contradicts this, please report it to info@bulkbarcodegenerator.dev.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your barcode data to train models or build advertising profiles.
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, we rely on the following legal bases under the UK GDPR / EU GDPR:
Confirm with your advisor which bases apply to your actual configuration, particularly for analytics and cookies in your jurisdiction.
We use COOKIES. Describe here each cookie or similar technology you actually set, its purpose, and how long it lasts.
We share limited information with service providers who help us run the Service. Each processes data on our behalf under contract:
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, users or the security of the Service.
Barcode values and uploaded spreadsheet contents are not retained by us at all, because they are not sent to us for barcode generation in the first place.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where data is transferred out of the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
The Service is not directed at children under 16+, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact info@bulkbarcodegenerator.dev and we will delete it.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information we hold, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limiting access to data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy as the Service changes or as the law requires. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice.
