Excel reality check
Excel can store barcode values, but barcode generation often requires fonts, add-ins, macros or external tools. Barcode fonts may still require correct start characters, stop characters and checksums depending on the format. This browser-based tool generates barcode image files from spreadsheet rows without installing an Excel add-in or running VBA macros.
Formatting
Spreadsheet warning: Excel may remove leading zeros from barcode values if the column is stored as a number. For best results, format barcode columns as text before upload.
Format barcode columns as Text before entering values. Do not let Excel auto-convert UPC or EAN values into numbers. Check leading zeros before upload. Keep one barcode value per row. Use a separate file_name column for custom output names, and a barcode_type column only with supported values.

Export priority: SVG ZIP → high-resolution PNG ZIP → processed CSV → error CSV → basic PDF.
Processed CSV preserves all original user columns exactly — no renaming, reordering or deleting. Diagnostic columns (final_encoded_value, barcode_type_used, output_file_name, status, error_message, warning_message) are appended to the far right only, so VLOOKUP, database imports, marketplace templates and ERP column matching keep working.
Safe CSV for Excel is a separate download that escapes formula-like values (starting with =, +, – or @) in all columns, reducing CSV formula-injection risk when the file is reopened in a spreadsheet app.

Spreadsheet parsing, barcode rendering and file generation run in your browser. Raw barcode values, SKUs, GTINs, product identifiers, file names, column headers or spreadsheet contents are not sent to analytics, logs or server-side processing.
This tool creates barcode images from values you provide. It can calculate or validate check digits for supported retail barcode types, but it does not issue, register, license, verify or sell official UPC, EAN, GTIN, GS1 or ISBN numbers. For official retail product identifiers, get your numbers from GS1 or the correct issuing organization.
